In light of recent events we have noticed a negative reproach being placed upon the immigrant community. This has led to a myriad of actions made against our friends, family and neighbors that in some cases have caused irreparable damage.
Now we need you! We ask that members of the Brockton and all neighborhing communities to help us spread a message to our local politicians, police force, ICE, immigrant community and anyone willing to listen that immigrants are not the enemy, “Immigrants Make America Great”.
Stand up and march with the immigrant communityin the streets of Brockton and demand our human rights, equality and dignity.
This May 1st if you are a immigrant and/or believe in immigrant rights join the national boycott do not go to work or buy anything on this day. Join the movement and several local organizations at our Day Without Immigrants march in Brockton. Lets show the public how much the economy of this country depends on immigrants, but most importantly that Brockton is ready to stand up for human and labor rights of all immigrants. WE ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS!
We will begin the march at the Brockton City Hall and then march to the old Vicentes market (689 Main Street Brockton 02301) and back to city hall to end our march (45 School St, Brockton MA 02301)
COSECHA, CSJ, Asociacion De Mujeres Latinas De Brockton, Family Resource Centers, and BIC are the organizations running this event.
